1996-2010

Around this time last year I knew that it was time for my almost 15 year old dog Buju's life to end.

It was a time filled with gut wrenching pain as I had to make a decision about ending my dog's life, a time when I so often find myself needing to confront the reality of death as an inevitable part of the life cycle.
Buju and I were brought together by life's syncronicities ago when I was on my prolonged road trip to California for the first time. I was 22 at the time. His loving friendship carried me all the into Motherhood where we experienced to first real changing of tides.
As we enter the time of Samhain and I feel the season change I honor my friend who was with me for so long. In this time where the veil between the seen and the unseen world is the thinest I am also reminded I can call on the spirit of those who I have lost and feel the oneness that exists between us all.
